DESCRIPTION:This annual event is hosted by the Opel Enthusiast Club and fea
 tures a fun loving Car Show and Picnic atmosphere.  Dedicated and designed 
 for all Opel Owners\, there are lots of  specials and great prizes in a big
  Sales Display offered by Opels Unlimited\, featuring significant savings a
 nd announcements about new Opel parts and developments.  This is a free eve
 nt open to all Opel Owners.  There is even a local Hotel that is very nice\
 , the Red Lion Suites for information and location as well as directions an
 d phone numbers\, please contact Todd and Debbie at 909-355-OPEL(6735).  Th
 e location of the event which starts at 12 noon is 20610 Eureka Street\, Pe
 rris\, CA 92571.  Everyone had a great time last year and there were lots o
 f Opel cars as well as Opel Owners\, all having a great time.  The food is 
 provided free of charge and from noon to 6pm is served in the front of this
  beautiful 5 acre estate custom  built for the Mayor of Perris.   There is 
 plenty of parking and the Opels have their own show field on paved driveway
 s admist a beautiful setting of purple flowers and water fountains and big 
 shade trees and almost 50 years of beautiful established grounds.

 otive event. We are limiting the event to pre-1980 vehicles\, and are hopin
 g to attract some of the less-well-represented marques.  Since BMW and Pors
 che have been featured in previous years\, we are excluding those marques f
 rom this event in the hope of seeing some of the many other German vehicles
  manufactured over the years.\n\n\n\nThe event is held on the Friday of the
  SVRA vintage race weekend at Watkins Glen International Race Track - Frida
 y after Labor Day.  This is a driver's event - the cars are the show!!\n\nH
 ere is a short review of event day:\n\nBeginning with registration at Chate
 au Lafayette Reneau Winery at about 8:00 a.m. on Friday\, September 8\, 201
 7\, participants will enjoy a real driving enthusiast’s day from the 9:30 a
 .m. drivers' meeting prior to the rally\, to brunch at Watkins Glen Interna
 tional around 11 a.m. followed by laps on the WGI race track\, to laps of t
 he Original Road Course\, finishing with display parking at LaFayette Park.
   This is also the site of the Legends Speak forum discussions\, and only a
  block away from the rest of the action on Franklin Street\, which continue
 s with laps of the remaining Stone Bridge Driver events\, then the 4:30 p.m

  your fingernails have grease\, and car has dents or rust\, bring it! If yo
 u have a Rolls\, bring it\, but leave the gray poupon. We are looking for p
 eople who are into the mechanics of their machinery and the thrill of the d
 riving experience.  \n\nDetails:\nWe gather behind Dunkin Donuts On Hopkins
  Hill Road\, West Greenwich.  Exit 6A off i95 south at 7:30.\n\n\nWe will h
 ave a brief Driver meeting. Hand out course directions\, then depart at 8:0
 0 am (all cars at once) This is not a timed event. No spacing the cars out 
 crap unless ample throttle is applied. Fun happens in clumps.  \n\nThere wi
 ll be two group stops. \n\nFirst stop- mid morning TLC coffee\, and probabl

DESCRIPTION:The 2019 Opel Nationals will be held October 17th thru the 19th
  at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord\, North Carolina. The show in c

 nThis will be the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Opel GT!\n\nThe actual show 
 date is Saturday\, October 19th.  No Sunday show. The Saturday show will ru
 n longer and the overall AutoFair awards will be held under the lights in t
 he NASCAR winners circle!\n\nA lot of planning has already been done behind
  the scenes with the speedway officials. Things could change but as of righ
 t now\, we will be located beside the \"Showcase Pavilion\" where really co
 ol cars are shown at each AutoFair.  This is notable because it looks like 
 we may be invited to show 4 or 5 of out best Opel's inside the Showcase Pav
 ilion.  I would like to see an excellent example of a GT (preferably a 1969
 )\,  Kadet\, Manta\, etc.\n\nHotel information will be coming very soon. Th
